Help Build Our Collections

Gifts of books, journals and other library materials are accepted with the understanding that they become the property of Saint Katherine College. Materials that are not added to the Library’s collections are normally sold with proceeds from sales serving as a source of funds for the Library.

The appraisal of a gift to the Library for income tax purposes is the responsibility of the donor. Federal tax regulations prohibit the Library from giving appraisals or estimates of value. The Library can, however, provide a list of qualified appraisers upon request. Occasionally, donated materials require appraisal information and related IRS forms. Donors are encouraged to consult a knowledgeable tax expert about current requirements. Gifts will be acknowledged upon request.

We rely on a specially-established endowment fund to acquire resources in specific areas. Donations can be earmarked for the Library Endowment Fund. Together we can contribute to the success of the Saint Katherine College Library.
